The Wendy Clark Band is a Colorado-based Retro-Futuristic New Wave Original Rock band since 2011, evolved from the former moniker Tequila Mockingbird (1996-2011). WCB combines Clark's infectious melodies and storytelling with her dynamic bandmates; their music is catchy, powerful, fun, and kept fresh by delving into multiple genres.
The EP Stardust official release was on Valentine's Day 2026.
The four-track EP recorded and produced in Boston is an explosive display of retro-futuristic new wave rock, blending glittery guitar riffs, moody melody and power-pop hooks with sharp lyrics relevant to much of today's political and social climate.
Songwriter and front person, Wendy Clark, of Tequila Mockingbird fame, says STARDUST captures a modern yet nostalgic sound rooted in new wave, indie rock, pop, Americana, and rock influences. Her idols include musicians like Roger Clyne and the Gin Blossoms, inspiring the vibe of Clark's artistry.
The Wendy Clark Band has been a fixture of the Colorado music scene since 2011, playing venues from Wellington to Creed, attracting audiences who can't help but move their feet to the catchy, rhapsodic songs the WCB is known for. Fans go wild for the band’s distinctive female-fronted vocal and guitar-driven sound. STARDUST builds on that foundation, offering cosmically crafted tracks that balance introspection with driving energy.
All songs on STARDUST were written by Wendy Clark Hudson (ASCAP) and recorded and engineered by Ryan Gallagher, who also produced and mastered the EP at Plaid Dog Records in Waltham, MA.
